Good bye January 2011!

There is this word.
It has four letters in it and starts with an S.
Shhhh... I am done with you S! I want warm weather! I want to open my windows and breathe in warm fresh air!
The Snowman had his time to shine and now it is time to go!
 The Snow does not go...

Picture out my back door!
Now do not get me wrong people. I love snow but now it is just dangerous and a hassle. If I did not have to leave my cozy home and go out in it and shovel it and clean my car off. Then me and Mr. S would have a better relationship. However, I think enough is enough and now we need to move on!
48 days until the First day of Spring!

PS - We are suppose to get 5-7 inches of snow tomorrow and wednesday!

Testing Tuesday!

Today I went to get Allergy testing for the 3rd time in my life! Since I was taking the day off of work I decided to be productive and make my experience educational! Now some of you might be thinking what is she talking about? I took pictures through out my journey to make an "Experience Book aka "Going to the Doctors". Tonight I will be putting my book together so tomorrow I can read it to my classroom and explain to them what I was doing while I was absent from class. For young children you need to have pictures with your words. I am so excited because I get to be both the Illustrator and the Author of my book!
(and the main character)
Here our two pictures that explain the difficult part of my day
42 pricks and then 39 needle injections!
Here is Ms. Amanda and her brave face!
This was just one half of my arm.
I had the lower half covered for the pricks on both arms then the injections on the upper half of both arms!
Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Sunday's Visit

Sunday I had the honor of going to my best friend Stacey and Andrew's Baby dedication.
It was such a sweet ceremony.
I know Stacey and Andrew are already raising and living the word of lord and his ways!
Look at this little guy! He just melts your heart!
 Eli and Daddy
Eli and Mommy
I had a wonderful time visiting with this amazing family!
Love you guys!

Twinkle, Shine, Glow , Grow!

Today I spent my day at the Penn Stater in State College at the Early  Years Are Learning Years Conference! This year the theme was called:
Twinkle, Shine, Glow, Grow- A Day Celebrating Our Children and Our Natural World
This was my 3rd year at the conference and as always I LOVED IT!
The Keynote Speaker was Mimi Brodsky Chenfeld.
She has been working in the Early Childhood field for 55 years!
She is an author, eductor and the"Queen of Fun"
I had so much fun singing and dancing with her. I even got on stage in front of 300 educators and sang/danced the Tooty Ta song! I have it on video but I need to learn how to add it on my blog.As soon as she walked on stage all of my co-workers said that this will be me in 50 years! I said I would be wearing purple and I need a tambourine with streamers on it. (She just had a plain tambourine)
 Mimi aka Queen of Fun!
After her Keynote speech / rant /song/awesomeness for being such a great motivator I had another two hours with her to sing and dance and be silly! I LOVED IT!
Then it was lunch...
People go to this conference for two reasons.
1. You love your job and you love learning how to be a better teacher
2. You go for the food!

I go for both reasons 1 and 2 !
Me at lunch so stuffed and so happy to be there! I love being a teacher and learning new ways to be a even better teacher! LOVE IT!
Me and Trisha at lunch... poor thing had to hear me the whole way to the conferences blab on and on about how I was so excited to go to the conference!
After the conference we went shopping... that is another blog for another day!
Happy Saturday Everyone!

Five Question Friday!

Slacker I am in this new year... I am going to try and blog more but I am just busy and tired and everyone at school is sick! I am trying to fight ALL the germs off!
I haven't played along with Five Question Friday ever but it sounds like fun so here we go...

5 Ques Fri
1. Where did you meet your spouse and did you instantly know it was love?
I met him at college.
I did not instantly know it was love but I thought he was a nice guy who liked helping people. Then I worked for him and realized he had an even kinder heart then it was LOVE!

2. What is your favorite room in your house?
My favorite room is my guest room.
Which I currently can NOT find a picture of!
It is cozy and warm and I love how the sun shines through the windows in the after noon. There is also a bathroom off of the guest room which I love too for the windows!

3. Can you wiggle your ears?
No, that is weird. Even if I think hard enough I still can not wiggle my ears. Weird!

4. What is your evening ritual?
I get my lunch ready for the next day. Have a snack. Take my first set of medications. PJ's, Brush teeth, Wash Face, look at clothes to set out for the next day... collect my phone, calender , water and pretzels... take my second set of medications and then start going over my day in my planner and see what else is on my list of things to do. Check the weather on my phone, facebook sometimes and then play tetrus or read depending on what time it is. Then with my ear plugs in and all of my purifiers on I am asleep.

5. How many hours of sleep do you need to function?
To be the happy Amanda who can jump and sing and dance and be the best teacher I can be I need 8 or more. Recently I have not been getting that much! Boo!
Happy Friday Everyone!

Things I am currently loving!

Things I currently am loving...
Taco Night! It is fun, easy and yummy! You get some crunch and some cheese a little spice and it hides the meat! I don't have to look at the meat and that works out just fine for me!

I am also LOVING my Juicer! I have Juiced every day since New years! I am not sure if I could ever go back to processed juice! I juice oranges, apples, pineapples and carrots so far! I LOVE my juicer! It is a bit time consuming (an extra 10 mins to juice and clean the juicer in the morning) but it is so worth it!
Did I mention I love my juicer!

I am loving the new season of Pretty Little Liars and ABC Family! I was addicted to the first season and now the second! It's on Monday Nights at 8pm. Just in case you happened to not watch this mysterious show. I just can't get enough!

My next NEW favorite show is Ghost Whisperer. I had heard of it before and one night I was flipping through the channels and I watched an episode. So every night this week I decided to watch it at 5pm on the ion channel instead of my normal Gilmore Girls (which I have seen every episode except for the last about a dozen times). I then saw a commercial saying that it is on every day from 3 to 6 pm! Oh my poor husband is going to be sick of me watching Ghost Whisperer! It is so good!

For all of my twlight fans out there... I would just like to let you know that there is less then 11 months until Breaking Dawn Part 1 comes out! I am so excited! I also need to finish the book.
Me and Edward at my Birthday Event last year!

Which speaking of books I am currently reading Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks! I am loving it.

I am always loving the Lord and my amazing husband! He is so sweet to not only me but our friends and family! I am truly blessed to have such a kind heart-ed man in my life!

The catch up...

I have been wanting to blog all week / weekend but I just did not have the time or energy! I have been busy working on some organizational projects again and sorting through my scrap booking supplies!
So, here is my catch up blog.

I have been doing some fun things lately. My biggest obsession is the game Settlers of Catan! I love it and my friends have got me addicted to it! I do not even care if I win anymore I just like playing the game! It's fun to collect and buy sheep or brick and wood to build roads and make settlements! I am still new at the game but I think it is pretty neat!
We played the expansion game at Avenue 209 (local coffee shop)

The next fun thing that I have done lately was play Michael Jackson's experience on the Wii. I did that last night with my friends Lisa and Beck! It was so much fun! I was belting out Heal the World and doing the dance moves to it! I am 100% sure we all looked ridiculous but it was a great time! A bonus was that I slept through the night without waking up (this was a first in a week and a half).

Today was so much fun. This is Penguin week and I took a great idea off of Babbling Abby's Blog. We painted penguins. Now unlike Abby my students are Pre-K age and her's are first graders but I think they did a great job too! Thank you so much Abby for the cute idea! We had a great time following directions and painting our funny looking penguins!
 Happy Tuesday Everyone!

New Year... 2011!

Well, it's a new year. For some reason every new year makes me a little sad. Mostly because the holidays are over and they are the most magical wonderful time of the year for me. I love decorating and spending time with my family. The food is amazing and I am genuinely happy!
I ended 2010 with a project that was completed. I cleaned out the storage closet and organized it to my standards (Bins and Labels) along with as much color coordination as I had available. (All of the colored bins I had around or just purchased for half price)
 The Before...
 The after!
I felt very accomplished and I ended 2010 on a organized note!
