The Last day of March

On this very last day of March 2011. I have to mention that I can NOT believe that march is OVER! It was a super busy month (not a lot of blogging to be had).
Today's High was around 38 degrees. Those meteorologists had foretasted snow for the next 2 days and my potted tulips were NOT going to make it though this cold weather so I brought them indoors and just within 24 hours they have perked back up and I think that they are going to live and hopefully produce a flower!

24 more days left of lent and Easter will be here!
My kiddos are 12 kinds of CRAZY! It think they might have just as much spring fever as I do.
There are 64 more days left of school. I will then be starting Dinosaur Camp!
Bring on April and warmer weather please and thank you!
OH tomorrow night is our 3rd Annual Arts and Academics Performance.
I will let you know how that goes tomorrow! We have been working on it since January!!!
30 kiddos and about 100+ parents and family watching.
Happy Thursday!

Tuesday -Let the sun shine on!

Another great day full of sunshine. It was still a very chilly day and I wanted to wear a dress so badly but this is what I came up with instead.

Also, when I was coming home from work I heard a bird in the tree. Can you find the wood pecker? It is such a beautiful bird. Noisy but beautiful.

 Happy Tuesday

Magnificent Monday

Monday was so sunny and beautiful outside. Cold. The High was 43.
This was at 6:50am. 18 degrees and you can see the moon.
I love starting my morning with a gorgeous blue sky.

 Breathe taking mountains and sky.

The sun was shinning and I got to take the children outside in the afternoon.
We needed a breathe of fresh air and some Vitamin D!

Weekend 1 of painting!

This past weekend I spent some time helping my parents paint.
This is my oh so attractive painting outfit that I wear whenever painting.
It is a really pretty blue! The trim is a darker shade of blue.
This is just the first coat and no trim done.
I am so glad it was a nice sunny weekend. Cold but sunny! I always love how the sun shines through windows! Great weekend with family and some projects completed!

It's Spring but still winter!

On the 3rd day of spring I woke up to this...
I am so sick of snow and cold and it seems like it is still here to stay for a little while longer!

It is forecasted to snow again next week!

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day is always a fun time at school.
(I know I am slacking on my blogging again!)
Below I have crafts that we have done through out the month and week.

Contact paper, paper grass, glitter and you can attracted a leprechaun from miles away!
We painted some Ireland flags with water colors!
Some oh so cute shamrock hands! So fun!
I hope you all had a great St. Patrick's Day!

Lent

So on vacation I missed Ash Wednesday for the first time in my life but did remember to not eat meat on Wednesday and Friday. This year I decided to create a Lenten Plan. Every year since I could remember I gave up something that I really loved. Nintendo, ice cream, chocolate. This year as I look back on how Jesus gave up everything for us and the images of the Passion of the Christ flash through my head. I think there has to be more to lent then giving up just one "sin" So this year I decided to do a number of things. First I would start with my traditional basic of giving up eating ice cream during the next 40 days along with having Wednesday nights with no electronics (tv, computer). I then decided to walk to work. This would give me time to think and reflect on life and the season. The third part of my plan was to attend the praying of the stations of the cross on Fridays. It is a good start to the Lent season. I hope to add on for next year.

Spring Vacation!

I had the most relaxing vacation I have ever taken! M and I along with two of our coolest friends ever went on another Cruise! This time it was through NCL freestyle cruising and what I would call relaxation cruising. I did not worry about anything, I didn't' worry about home or work or taking pictures or blogging or anything! It was glorious! We left out of the Big Apple and made our way to Port Canaveral, then NCL's private island and finally to NASSAU.
 And we are off...
And we are at port... Can you see the excitement in my face!

Of course the first thing you do on any cruise is EAT!

Then we explored the ship until our room was ready!
Relaxing before we leave port! 60 degrees in NY! LOVE IT!
My imitation of the spring breakers!

While in  port caniveral... the friends went on air boats to see alligators

my M went to NASA
and I sat and read in the sun on the boat! It was wonderful. It was also even more wonderful when I found out that school was closed at home because they got 9 inches of snow.

He He He... I felt sad for them for about a minute and then I wasn't so much.

On our second port of call we went to the  NCL private Island

Our boat from the island... its so pretty and so is the water and the sky!

The last port of call was at NASSAU Bahamas we all went to Atlantis. It was our second time there and it was still just as amazing as the first time.
 I had my princess moment!
Down the grand stairs (I am spoiled rotten)
Theses stairs remind me of when Cinderella gets out of her locked room and says "your prince your prince I have not tried on the shoe"
Me and the boys... they are so amazing and so is the photographer!
This was my last moment of bliss. I soaked up every last little ray of sunshine I could and I did feel very relaxed.

It was an amazing week of relaxation. If I wanted to read. I read. If I wanted to eat. I ate. and if I wanted to sleep. I slept! I want to thank Lisa for being our photographer for the trip.

I also want to thank M for being so relaxed and understanding. and George for being well George! Good times my friends good times!

Wacky Wednesday

The Dr. Seuss week continues...
I love my job and I love what I do! Wacky Wednesday it was how about you?
Today I had so much fun as my little critters came marching in one by one in their wacky wednesday outfits!
We had girls with squeaky shoes and boys with Iron man underwear on their hair! It was a very wacky wednesday and I would have not traded this day for anything!
Today was good! Today was fun! Tomorrow is another one!

If you never did, you should. Theses things are fun, and fun is good!

It is Dr. Seuess week here in Pre-K land and on Tuesday we made some Green Playdough for our Green Eggs and Ham day!
First we added 5 cups of flour. (this is a large batch) A half a cup of salt. 12 tablespoons of vegetable oil. 6 tablespoons of Cream of Tartar

Then we added half a litter of boiling water and some green food coloring!
Then we stirred, and stirred and stirred!
We all got a turn stirring and then I got out my gloves and mushed our green mess until it was ready to play with!
It was a green slimy fun mess! We made lots of batches of "green eggs and ham". There was even a green flower vase made for our table of green flowers and green plates to eat our green eggs and ham!
If you never did, you should. These things are fun, and fun is good.-Dr. Seuss
