What is in MY School Bag!

I am linking up with Abby from theThe Inspired Apple! I get some AMAZING ideas from her blog!  We are chatting about our teacher bags. I am so relieved to see I am not the only teacher that carries so much stuff in their bag just in case they have time to get to it at home!
This bag I got for student teaching many years ago and I still use it when I'm in the mood.
This is the bag my mother n law got me and I have been using it up until about two weeks ago.
I was using this Purple Punch Vera Bradly Tote to tote around my technology items (lap top and i pad).
Then finally I order this lovely bag from Vera. It's not as fun as my other bags but it looks professional and it keeps my electronics safe from the soon to be winter weather! Shhhhhh
Now what can I fit into this lovely bag...
My lesson plan book (which is upside down)
Some papers (which are also upside down but are right side up in my photo gallery)
Library Skill books
I can not live with out my colored pens! They make me so happy!
My purple wireless mouse.
My computer with the new Vera Bradley skin on it and my wires that go along with my laptop.
(I am not paid to mention Vera I just love the purple patterns.)
Lastly some super fun alphabet books I used in the sweet Kindergarten Classes. They LOVED all three of theses fun books!
To all my teacher blogging friends out there! Keep up the good work! It's almost the end of September!
You are all so special to be doing the job you do!

Mr. Stick Bug

So, last Tuesday I get in my car and look at my side mirror and this little guy was on it. I could not believe my eyes! It was super cool!

Of course I had to call M to rescue him from my car. He was too long for me to do it myself.
I don't like things crawling on me!
I think he liked us a lot because yesterday he was on our back door!

Sara's Wedding

One of my dear friends Sara got married on September 10th 2011.
I read at the wedding and was so glad to see my friends!

 Very Cool Cake
 Amanda, Amanda and Stacey
Me and M! I love you!
The food was very good and we all had a great time!

Went to Camp

So for years my husband has been going to "hunting" camp with his friends. I never had the erge to ever see camp the way he described it but this labor day weekend our annual plans got cancelled due to all the  flooding in the North East. The roads we would take to our normal destination to go camping were washed away. So, I said lets go to camp and we did!

Tony and I at camp!

 A little cross bow practice.
We also played some awesome shuffle board!

Where I spend my days

Here is a look into my classroom which is also the Library. Yes, I am a librarian teacher. I teach library skills and for the older grades I teach writing along with library skills.
In previous years the library had a theme and so I choose Ocean!
For the younger grades I made theses carpet squares and put blue duck tape on the edges so they would not fray.
The older grades work at the tables.
My Mrs. Octopus who get very hungry for books!
So when your through with your book please feed Mrs. Octopus!
Cute table with some fall flowers. I will post pictures of all of my fun fall stuff once I put it up.

I also made a prezi presentation to introduce the library. I had toy story instrumental music that went with it.
It was super cute!

Amish Adventures

Back in August (yes I know I am so behind but it has been the beginning of the school year and It has been crazy! I have been busy)
Anyway, Back in August the 12th and 13th to be exact M and I took our niece Rachel to Amish Country. It was actually really awesome and we want to go back!
 We stayed here!
The view from our room. The hotel was in the middle of Amish Farms. It was very dark at night!
We went on tours, buggy rides and even into a Amish house and Amish Farm.
It was very educational and makes you very grateful for what you have but also very greedy.y. They choose to live the way they do. Plain.
